Recession Tool Kit

Empowering Nonprofits

to Navigate the New Economy

A partner consultant, Kathy Shulman, and I have collected the best practices in our field to develop a new tool – the Recession Tool Kit (RTK) -- so that you can quickly assess your income, expenses and programs in light of the new economy.

Our streamlined services can immediately help your organization return to its core mission, vision and programming; adapt to the new needs in the community and maximize your resources – and, therefore, thrive in the next few stormy years.

Our planning process is 6-10 weeks in length and is accessible in a variety of formats -–so that you can access this tool in a format that meets your needs and finances.

The most effective leaders will be situational and entrepreneurial -- and we aim to help you be both.

Toolkit’s 5 Steps

Get Grounded - Revisit your mission, vision and values -- so that they are the compasses by which the board and staff will make strategic decisions.

Collecting Data for Strong Decision Making - Assess the recession’s impact on Income, Expenses, and Program. Focus on internal & external environment.

Analyze the Data and Trends to identify the most critical issues.

Shape up your organization by considering ways to conserve your limited resources and make them go further.  Explore ways to strategically restructure.

Adopt an Action Plan and move forward with confidence.

Services

We know that you are very busy and need to watch how you spend every dollar during this economic downturn.   Our aim is to provide the best-quality services in formats that are both cost and time effective.

We provide group coaching and workshops for associations or a group of peer organizations; consulting one-on-one with nonprofit organizations, which could be a facilitated RTK process, or coaching with the executive staff; and 1 1/2 hour information sessions.
